Metal Sulphides


Chemetall's product range comprises natural and synthetic metal sulphides, additive compounds and Pyrite / iron disulfide. The new product group of patented tin sulfides has been specially developed for use in antimony-free friction linings.

Solid lubricants and metal sulfides in particular have proved to be the most versatile and effective functional additives for the friction lining industry. In automotive applications, these products reduce wear and its negative effects on driving comfort. Our partners use these products worldwide as stabilizers of friction coefficient and as comfort additives.

The abrasive tool industry is supplied with natural metal sulfides and complex chlorides as additives and filler systems. These active filling materials are mainly used in resin-bonded grinding and cutting wheels and considerably improve the grinding process and grinding pattern. Our abrasive additives are suitable for all forms of grinding and cutting, such as precision grinding, rough cutting, cold cutting, hot cutting.
